Motorcycle Riding Tip -- Motorcycles Require a Key
My buddy flew to Indianapolis to take delivery of a motorcycle he purchased on eBay. I rode solo, while he flew. We met that evening in Elizabethtown Kentucky, and departed early the next day for the 260 mile ride home. We both had family commitments that evening (interstate travel required), and the weather reports showed rain was a strong possibility. We were both apprehensive about the weather, and about making it home 'in time'. Loaded and ready to go, Mike looked over and said, "I can't find my key." We spent the next 30 minutes (it seemed like hours) searching for his key. It's amazing how easily such a small item can be lost -- in all the layers of gear and clothing. Luckily he found it in his tank bag -- I didn't ask how it got there? As we pulled out, the storm clouds rolled in, the rain followed. We rode hard that day, harder than we 'should' have... harder than we 'would' have - if Mike had been carrying a spare key. Do it this week. Make a couple of spare keys; hide one on your motorcycle and give one to your riding buddy. One day - you'll be glad you did.
